Job Description

Are you ready to take a central quality role in complex, international EPCI offshore wind projects, working across disciplines to ensure safe and successful project delivery?

At Seaway7, you will be part of a well-established, and forward-looking organisation with a trusted reputation in the offshore energy sector offering a collaborative environment where quality and innovation go hand in hand.

As an experienced professional, you combine well-developed communication skills with a solid technical foundation and a structured, risk-based mindset. You can turn project risks into practical preventive measures and coordinate problem-solving across engineering, procurement, and installation phases.

As Senior Quality Advisor, you are responsible for ensuring effective quality management across assigned EPCI work packages throughout the project lifecycle.

You work closely with engineering, supply chain management, operations, and suppliers to maintain compliance, manage quality risks, and support ongoing performance and improvement from tender through to project close-out.

What will you be doing?

Project Lifecycle Ownership

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the Project Quality Plan
  • Define and deploy a risk-based quality strategy, including KPIs, audit programs, and assurance activities
  • Monitor the effectiveness and ongoing suitability of the PQP

Risk-Based Quality Management

  • Identify and manage quality risks related to engineering, supply chain, and execution activities
  • Ensure risks are translated into inspection strategies, surveillance plans, and preventive actions
  • Drive structured problem-solving, including root cause analysis investigation

Supplier & Subcontractor Quality

  • Review and approve supplier Quality Plans and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)
  • Coordinate and manage supplier surveillance, inspection activities, and related budgets
  • Oversee supplier performance and encourage continuous improvement across the supply chain

Quality Control & Assurance

  • Verify implementation of the PQP through audits, reviews, inspections, and monitoring
  • Oversee non-conformance management, deviation and concession processes
  • Monitor and report quality performance, KPIs, and trends, including input to cost of poor quality

Auditing & Assurance

  • Develop, implement, maintain and execute a risk-based Project Audit Program
  • Ensure audit findings are effectively closed out with verified corrective actions
  • Promote audit learnings across the project and contribute to organizational knowledge sharing

Stakeholder Engagement & Leadership

  • Act as the primary quality focal point for Project Management Team, Client, and stakeholders
  • Provide specialist quality guidance to engineering, supply chain management, and operations
  • Promote quality awareness, accountability, and a culture of predictable performance

Execution & Delivery Support

  • Participate in and support engineering, design, and constructability reviews
  • Ensure effective implementation of management of change and document control processes
  • Support offshore installation activities, ensuring compliance with procedures and plans

Project Close-Out & Continuous Improvement

  • Ensure delivery of complete, accurate, and compliant project as-built documentation
  • Manage and facilitate lessons learned, knowledge transfer, and continuous improvement activities
  • Review KPIs, the cost of poor quality, audit findings, and feedback to guide improvement initiatives

What experience would we like you to have?

  • Demonstrated experience in a quality role within complex EPCI projects (offshore wind, renewables, or oil & gas)
  • Comprehensive understanding of quality systems and standards, for example ISO 9001 and ISO 10005
  • Demonstrated experience in risk-based quality management, audits, and incident investigations
  • Ability to operate effectively in complex, multidisciplinary project environments
  • Well-developed communication skills, capable of engaging up to senior management and client level
  • Qualified auditor or lead auditor
  • Methodical, structured approach with a focus on problem prevention and continuous improvement
