Descripción de la empresa

Nombre

RABOT Charge

Sede

Hamburgo, Alemania

Fundado

2021

Job Description

Rabot Energy is an independent provider of dynamic electricity tariffs with 100% green energy. Through our innovative procurement strategies, we ensure both ecological sustainability and cost optimization in home energy management. By passing on wholesale electricity market prices directly to our customers, we are able to reduce their electricity bills by an average of 35%.

Owners of electric vehicles and smart meters benefit particularly from our dynamic electricity tariff, as they can automatically charge their vehicles at home when electricity prices on the exchange are especially low. In the Rabot Energy app, charging preferences can be easily set and current market electricity prices can be tracked in real time.

With our intelligent charging solutions, we actively contribute to increasing the share of renewable energy in Germany's overall electricity consumption.

Our vision is to give every customer the opportunity to manage their energy consumption in a smart way while conserving the environment and natural resources. By offering smart charging and energy management solutions, Rabot Energy actively helps drive the energy transition forward. With this idea, we have already won the trust of over 100,000 customers.

Why Now?

The energy market is going through its biggest shift in 50 years. We no longer just manage electricity, we make it intelligent. RABOT is growing triple digits. We have the product, we have the market fit, now we need you to take the engine to full speed. We're not looking for administrators, we're looking for architects of our growth.

Your Mission

EVs, heat pumps, wallboxes: more and more households have large energy consumers that can be intelligently controlled. For RABOT to optimize these assets in real time, they first need to be connected to our platform. Every new hardware manufacturer, every new protocol, every new device class is an integration that must be reliable, scalable and maintainable.

You build the backend systems that make this connection happen. You design the APIs that make complex energy data accessible for customers and frontend. And you work closely with our optimization team (data scientists, data engineers) so that raw data becomes intelligent control. When a customer charges their EV at the optimal time and saves money, it's because your backend works in the background.

Your Results

Month 3 (Ramp-up)

  • You understand our platform architecture, existing integrations and tech stack (C#/.NET, MongoDB, Docker, Kubernetes, GCP/Azure) deeply enough to independently plan and ship features and integrations.
  • You've shipped your first hardware provider integration or significantly improved an existing one.
  • The team values your input on architecture decisions.

Month 6 (Performance)

  • You've successfully integrated multiple external hardware providers into our ecosystem. Integrations are stable, scalable and well-documented.
  • You've refactored existing backend systems to efficiently support new asset types and manufacturers.
  • You've introduced code or process improvements that increased team quality or velocity.

Month 12 (Scale)

  • You're the go-to technical reference for hardware integrations and backend architecture in the Large Assets Squad.
  • The platform is built so that new providers and device classes can be connected with significantly less effort than before you started.
  • New engineers onboard faster because you've shared knowledge, documented standards and set the bar.

Who We Are Looking For

  • Systems thinker: You think in distributed systems, API design and scalability, not individual endpoints.
  • Integration pro: You have experience connecting external systems, APIs and hardware providers. You know that "it works" isn't enough. Integrations need to be reliable, maintainable and well-documented.
  • Quality-driven: CI/CD, TDD and clean code are daily practice for you. You write code that others can understand and build on.
  • Knowledge sharer: You don't just raise your own code, you raise the whole team. Code reviews, architecture discussions, pair programming: you share actively and make others better.
  • Product thinker: You don't just build what's in the ticket. You understand the customer problems behind an integration and bring technical insight into product decisions.

Professional requirements: Strong in C# and .NET Core. Solid understanding of MongoDB, Docker, Kubernetes and cloud environments (GCP/Azure). Comfortable with CI/CD pipelines, TDD and agile development principles. AI coding tools like Claude or Cursor are part of your natural workflow. Fluent in English. Based in or willing to relocate to Hamburg.

Bonus: Hands-on with hardware integrations (IoT, smart meters, EV charging), energy sector or event-driven architecture.

What We Offer

  • Impact: When a customer charges their EV at the optimal time, it's because of your code. Not abstract infrastructure, but systems that directly reach the customer.
  • Ownership: You shape the backend architecture of the Large Assets Squad, not just the implementation. You make technical decisions with the team, not against it.
  • Culture: Transparent feedback, no politics. We celebrate mistakes as long as we learn from them.

Your Extras

  • Employee discount on RABOT Energy electricity tariff
  • Urban Sports Club partnership + Deutschlandticket
