Factory Representative (m/w/d)

Your Tasks

For an artificial energy island project with offshore transmission infrastructure in the Belgian coast in the North Sea, we are looking for a Cable Supply Inspector to monitor, supervise and verify the safe compliant manufacturing and testing activities at the cable manufacturers factory.

Your range of tasks includes:

• Act as the primary liaison between the client and the contractor during manufacturing and testing operations
• Monitor and report on daily activities
• Verify that operations are conducted according to the clinets requirements, approved project procedures, test plans and risk assessments
• Ensure full compliance with applicable HSE guidelines and intervene when safety is compromised
• Review and comment on contractor reporting, including daily progress reports, disposal logs, and as-built documentation
• Witness critical operations
• Ensure proper documentation, including logbooks, photographic evidence and contractor deliverables
• Maintain transparent communication with the client's project team
• Assist with audits, inspections, and visits by authorities, certifiers or third parties

Requirements & Your Expertise

• You have at least 5 years of relevant working experience in the following:
  • Experience in subsea power cable manufacturing factories
  • Experience as a factory client representative
• In depth knowledge of international standards (e.g. CIGRE, IEC etc)
• Completed a degree as an Engineer or Technician
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Excellent MS Office skills
