Senior Accounting Manager

Job Description

If you love being hands-on with the books, ensuring accuracy and precision, while also improving processes and efficiency in Microsoft Business Central, this could be the perfect role for you.

As Senior Accounting Manager, you will take charge of our accounting function in a busy and complex environment, where no two days are the same.

You will lead a team of four employees and a student, taking responsibility for accurate books, reconciliations, and cleanup activities.

At the same time, you will be responsible for process improvement initiatives in Microsoft Business Central, identifying smarter ways of working, optimizing workflows, and driving efficiency across the accounting function.

This role is perfect for someone who thrives at the intersection of operational excellence, continuous improvement, and team leadership, combining hands-on accounting expertise with a passion for building better processes and developing people.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and continuously improve accounting processes and workflows
• Drive automation, standardization, and act as Business Central system owner
• Ensure data quality, maintain master data governance, and document processes
• Deliver accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close
• Maintain proper documentation and audit readiness
• Allocate tasks, set priorities, and balance team workload
• Foster a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement closely with the controlling team, IT, and other business stakeholders

About You

• You are passionate about hands-on accounting, taking full ownership of the books while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and high-quality financial reporting.
• You have solid experience with Microsoft Business Central and demonstrated success in improving and optimizing processes within the system.
• With a strong grasp of accounting principles, you can navigate complex details while keeping a clear overview of the bigger picture.
• You thrive in a fast-paced environment, confidently managing multiple priorities without compromising quality.
• You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or equivalent practical experience, and have at least 5 years of professional accounting experience.
• You are motivated to grow your people management skills and are excited to take a leadership role guiding and developing the accounting team.
