The mission

As Lab Technician, you will spend the majority of your time in the lab, where you will support colleagues by taking ownership for ensuring a well-functioning lab environment. This includes:

• Maintaining lab equipment
• Carry out calibration of instruments
• Manage lab supplies
• Prepare materials for experiments maintaining equipment
• Fabricate solar cell devices
• Evaluate the performance of these devices

You will also collect and analyze experimental data, document results, and help drive iterative improvements in materials and device performance. Over a longer period of time (after around 2 years), you can grow into a more active role in development projects, contributing to experimental design and evaluation.

Ultimately, you play an important role in enabling efficient R&D operations. The role is based 100% on site in our facilities in Linköping where you will collaborate with an international team of R&D Engineers and Laboratory Assistants. The role will start out with a 6 month probation period.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a hands-on lab technician who enjoys taking ownership and working in a structured experimental environment and takes pride in maintaining high-quality standards. You are motivated by working hands-on in the lab and being part of a team pushing sustainable technology forward.

We believe that you have:

• A vocational (YH) or bachelor-level education in a relevant technical or scientific field
• Practical lab experience (experience with wet chemistry, analytical chemistry, or organic electronics is a strong plus)
• Good communication skills and fluency in English

As a person, you are diligent and precise, handling materials and equipment with care. You work methodically and keep track of tasks and processes, and you work well with others and contribute to a positive team environment. Last but not least, you take ownership in your work and bring a can-do, solution-oriented attitude to the team.
