Job Description

To join our team as a Bilingual Home Energy Assessor (Senior Field Specialist). In this role, you will deliver residential energy assessments and support energy‑saving home improvement projects for customers in Clackamas County, Oregon. This role combines hands‑on home inspections with customer service built on trust, clear communication, and accountability.

You will complete in‑home energy assessments, document opportunities to save energy and lower utility costs, and support weatherization and HVAC upgrade projects from start to finish. Additional responsibilities include coordinating contractors, reviewing bids and invoices for eligibility, and occasional community outreach to help homeowners learn about available programs.

Ideal candidates are bilingual in English and Spanish, enjoy working directly with people in their homes, and have experience in home inspections, energy efficiency, residential construction, or HVAC. This role is especially focused on serving low‑income households and helping homeowners understand the process and complete required paperwork.

This is a remote position with frequent field work. Ideal candidates live in the Clackamas County region or Portland Metro.

Here at CLEAResult, success means you are resourceful, resilient, and kind. For this career opportunity, you're a great fit if you can...

  • Conduct home energy assessments and basic quality checks in occupied homes
  • Communicate clearly with English‑ and Spanish‑speaking homeowners in person, by phone, email, and written reports
  • Inspect insulation, weatherization, and existing electrical or natural gas HVAC equipment
  • Document findings and write Home Energy Assessments that outline repairs and upgrades
  • Review contractor bids and invoices for program eligibility
  • Submit reports, forms, and invoices accurately and on time
  • Participate in occasional community outreach events to explain energy‑saving programs
  • Bilingual skills in English and Spanish (required)
  • Have a BPI certification (minimum requirement is BPI Building Analyst Technician)
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening (including THC)

In this exciting career opportunity, you will have...

  • 4-8 years of relevant work experience in home performance, energy efficiency, inspections, or other in-home customer-facing roles
  • Knowledge of residential building systems, HVAC, and energy efficiency measures
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish (required)
  • BPI Certification (required)
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to explain technical information in plain language
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Comfort working independently in the field and managing a schedule

Additional Requirements

  • Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation
  • Ability to occasionally work evenings or weekends for outreach events
  • Ability to work in residential environments including attics, crawlspaces, and variable field conditions
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening (including THC) prior to hire

Target compensation: $75,000 to $85,000
