We are currently looking for a new colleague to join the Asset Performance & Optimization Office at Ignitis Renewables, where you'll ensure our operational renewable energy assets run at optimal performance by applying advanced analytics and identifying upgrade opportunities. We value openness, partnership is our strength, and responsibility makes us a great team. If that speaks to you, we'd be happy to welcome you to our team!
Take YOUR part in #EnergySmart!
You will contribute to green and secure energy ecosystem creation by
- Using best-practice approaches to conduct regular and ad-hoc analysis on performance verification and component health to confirm the status of renewable energy power plants, with a particular focus on Battery Energy Storage Systems
- Developing, running, and improving machine learning models to maximise the benefits of data and enhance predictions, such as performance forecasting, asset deterioration, condition monitoring, and fault prediction
- Identifying areas of potential performance improvement across the renewable energy portfolio
- Conducting market research studies on asset upgrade options, evaluating their viability, and preparing business cases
- Supporting investigations into lost production events, fault analysis, and root cause studies by providing operational data insights
- Advising asset supervisors on fault codes, technical issues, and performance concerns.
Required for this position
- An academic degree (or corresponding work experience) in Engineering, Physics, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related field
- 1-3 years of experience in engineering or a similar role, ideally within the renewable energy sector or O&M provider organisations
- Strong engineering background with a deep understanding of engineering systems and at least a basic knowledge of renewable energy technologies
- Proficiency in advanced statistical methods and machine learning techniques, with the ability to develop or improve tools for large-scale data analysis
- Skilled in research and evaluation of asset upgrade options, including technical and commercial viability assessment
- Proficient in data visualization using tools such as Power BI, with the ability to present findings clearly and effectively
- Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to explain technical insights to non-technical stakeholders
- Advanced user of MS Office
- Fluency in English (minimum B2 level), with the ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment.
In return for creating a more sustainable future, we promise
- To take part in an unfolding energy transformation process to create a 100% green and secure energy ecosystem for both current and future generations
- International team that is working on dynamic renewable energy projects
- A hybrid work model (3+2) and flexible working hours
- Extensive learning and qualification enhancement programs
- Attention to physical and emotional health: wellness mentor initiatives and psychological support, etc.
- Additional paid days for health improvement, short-term illness, volunteering, and accumulated work experience.
Join a growing and increasingly international team of energy smart people united by a common purpose. We all play our part in creating a 100 % secure and green energy ecosystem for current and future generations.
And the way to achieve this is certainly not to wait for the perfect moment. We believe that the power to act comes from the charge we bring to our work every day. United by purpose. Owning the challenge. Passion for reinvention. Pursuing excellence. These are our mindsets. Together, they yield the energy that drives everything we do. The energy generated by our choices. If you are guided by the same mindsets - we look forward to welcoming you to our team!
