Junior Energy Trader

Ready to dive into the dynamic world of energy trading? We are on the lookout for a Junior Energy Trader to join our Origination & Trading department.

If you have some experience in trading, programming in Python, and knowledge of algorithms, and are passionate about learning power trading while expanding your skills in this fast-paced environment, we would love to discuss this opportunity with you.

Key Responsibilities

• Optimising RES power plant assets: engaging in trading activities on the Futures and Spot Markets (Day-Ahead Market, Intraday) in Hungary, the Czech Republic and Poland
• Daily trading operations: participation in daily prop trading activities in physical energy markets
• Schedule management: nominating schedules to relevant Transmission System Operators
• Cross-team collaboration: working closely with analysis and product teams to ensure seamless operations
• Trading strategy development: building and refining trading strategies and models
• System enhancement: contributing to the development and automation of internal trading systems to improve efficiency (e.g., algo-trading)
• Market insight: staying updated on market trends and sharing insights with the team

Qualifications and Experience

• University degree in finance or economics, or a scientific or technical field
• Experience in trading (trading power commodities is a significant advantage)
• Communicative level of English for daily usage
• Good knowledge of MS Excel
• Coding skills are a plus
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Eager to learn, adaptive, and responsible
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
