We are looking for a Senior Controls Engineer, to join our team in one of today’s most exciting technologies. This role will report to Sr. Director, Controls Engineering and based in San Jose, CA

Location: This role will be based in San Jose, CA. It is fully on-site, in office role.

Role and Responsibilities

• Develop solutions for fuel cell systems focused around process control and optimal system performance
• Propose enhancements, optimizations, and failure analysis to existing control strategies
• Support simulation design and modeling of sub-systems with a data driven approach

Education, Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, embedded systems, control systems, or a related field
• 2+ years’ experience in system automation and energy system development preferred
• Excellent knowledge of MATLAB and simulation environment
• Experience with data analysis in Python or MATLAB
• Experience with C/Python software development and embedded coding
• Experience with version control software GitHub/GitLab preferred
• Experience in developing model predictive control
• Experience in porting algorithms to embedded systems and optimizing code
• Understanding of diagnostic techniques for system components
• Desire to work in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment
