Technical Lead , Cloud Architect (CI/CD)
Summary
CI/CD focused cloud architect for maintaining and supporting the CI/CD platform and related cloud-based assets. Strong knowledge in containerized workloads and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE). Key skills required: GCP, GKE, Gitlab, JFrog Artifactory, Scripting automation.
Purpose and Objective
- Accountable to deliver high quality, innovative, cost effective OT infrastructure in support of customer operations across all locations in the EMEA region.
- Responsible for ensuring efficient operations of Cloud OT infrastructure that meets all committed SLAs.
- Responsible for developing and implementing strategies for data and information architecture spanning the Service Operations.
Key Performance Indicators
- SLA performance on OT environments
- Customer satisfaction for the respective area of responsibility (cloud infrastructure deployments and operations, systems operations)
- Continuous improvement proposals for Service operation (OT and internal activities), including cost efficiency and scalability improvements.
Areas of Responsibility / Tasks
- Accountable to deliver high quality, innovative, cost effective OT infrastructure in support of customer operations across all locations in the EMEA region (support to Product management, Service Design, Transition and Operations)
- Develop and implement OT infrastructure goals, plans and objectives that support the company's vision and strategic development throughout product lifecycle process
- Design, plan, and implement deployment of GCP native applications in productive environment
- Working together with application development team to ensure that deployed application meets security, SLA, and performance requirements
- Identify automation targets and automate workloads including infrastructure needs, testing, failover solutions, failure mitigation
- Developing CI/CD processes together with application and CI/CD teams to improve application updates cadence
- Represent Company in a positive, professional manner when working with both external and internal customers Support and adhere to Company's Code of Conduct and Ethics Policy Perform other duties as assigned or required
- The role supports training and mentoring on procedures and techniques relevant to OT system operations dedicated to operations and customer support teams. This hands-on, technical position will be required to make technical decisions and work closely with cross functional business areas and IT groups. The role will support initial design and cost evaluation of required OT infrastructure during development of offers for customers
- Responsible for ensuring efficient operations of OT Cloud infrastructure that meets all committed SLAs, leveraging a team spread over multiple regions. Monitor OT infrastructure performance via defined SLA's and capacity and respond to events or issues per commitment Provide advanced technical troubleshooting for OT infrastructure with emphasis on root cause analysis in OT environment Research solutions to various business and technical problems, evaluate alternatives and be able to present recommendations and justifications to management Responsible for developing and implementing strategies for data and information architecture spanning the Service Operations, including information integrity, privacy & security, backup, recovery & replication.
- Design, plan and drive migration of existing OT systems from on-premise environment to GCP
- Preserve assets by ensuring CMDB compliance, implementing disaster recovery, backup procedures and information security and control structures
- Write and maintain documentation describing changes and modifications to all systems and databases.
- Provide technical direction and support for a Windows / Linux server environments.
Experience
- 7 to 10 + year of experience in Cloud-based system design, operations and maintenance
- Proven experience in Google Could Platform in practical level (mandatory)
- Experience on working in customer interface for B2B business is an advantage
- Experience on utility IT systems is an advantage
- Advantage is to have demonstrated ability of working in cross functional and international teams in distributed environment
- Ability to adapt to different working styles as per required in multicultural environment
Qualifications and Additional Requirements
- Technical education/Degree, e.g. B.TECH/ MTech/MCA or equivalent in Information Science area
- Cloud Architecture/Engineering certificates GCP
Must To have
5 to 8 years of Relevant experience as cloud architect and managing CI/CD platform Good Communication & Interpersonal Skills . To be able to do discussions with different teams all across Europe and India Good in Scripting and Good Experience in Gitlab
