Senior Backend / TypeScript Developer (Insights & BI)

Job Description

As a developer on our Insights & Business Intelligence team, you will be the bridge between complex sustainability methodologies and scalable technical solutions. You will handle heavy business logic and calculations, turning raw energy data into actionable intelligence for global enterprises.

Your Challenge

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Implementing Complex Business Logic: Translating sustainability methodologies, carbon accounting standards, and PPA calculations into strict, type-safe TypeScript code.
• Building Intelligence Pipelines: Architecting and maintaining data workflows, utilizing PostgreSQL and Redis Streams, to process large volumes of energy data and deliver accurate analytics to our clients.
• Designing Scalable Solutions: Analyzing use cases to propose, design, and deploy robust microservices within our GCP/GKE environment.
• Code Quality & Optimization: Continually reviewing and optimizing our existing codebase to ensure our reporting and calculation engines remain fast, reliable, and cost-effective.
• Client-Centric Problem Solving: Understanding the reporting and intelligence needs of our enterprise clients to propose technical solutions that perfectly balance quality and system performance.

• Experienced: You have a proven track record working on similar data-heavy projects or with similar technologies.
• Versatile & Open-Minded: While TypeScript is our core, you are open to using other languages and tools (like Go, Python, or Bash) when they are the best fit for the job.
• System-Savvy: You feel completely at home working in a Linux environment and navigating a terminal.
• Adaptable: You are comfortable diving into and reading other people's code.
• A Great Communicator: You are transparent, ask questions when things are unclear, and possess the humility to ask for help when needed.
• Very fluent in English
• Local: You are located in or around Barcelona and are able to commute to our office.
