We are a certified B Corp, headquarted in Seattle. We are looking to fill this particular role with someone who can commit to a hybrid schedule in our Seattle office for more face-to-face interactions with team members.

The Job

As a Sr. Infrastructure Engineer at Omnidian, you will drive core infrastructure execution and technical automation during a period of rapid global expansion. You will spend 60% of your time leading key IT infrastructure projects from technical setup to operational rollout, 20% partnering with Information Security on vulnerability remediation, and 20% providing Level 2+ technical escalation support for our asynchronous workforce across the US, Australia, and Latin America. You are an experienced, self-directed professional who thrives on optimizing global configurations, minimizing system drift, and leveraging modern AI tools to eliminate manual overhead.

What You'll Do

Project Administration & Core Ownership (60%)

  • Project Execution: Lead the technical deployment and lifecycle management of core platforms (such as IDP, MDM, and ITAM tools) from setup to full rollout under general guidance.
  • Technical Escalation: Act as the senior resource for the IT service desk, assisting team members with complex configurations and advanced troubleshooting.
  • Systems Optimization: Manage and optimize SharePoint Online, ensuring site designs and permissions structures adhere strictly to established corporate data-governance baselines.
  • Infrastructure Scaling: Adapt and scale global infrastructure to accommodate rapid international expansion. Build and manage automated, zero-touch deployment frameworks for a mixed-OS fleet (Windows & Mac) using modern, unified endpoint management tools like JumpCloud, NinjaOne, or Kandji/Iru, ensuring seamless hardware delivery and security compliance for offshore staff.

Security & Compliance (20%)

  • Vulnerability Remediation: Partner directly with the Information Security Team to swiftly execute technical tasks required to remediate infrastructure vulnerabilities within SOC2 and ISO frameworks.
  • DR & BCP Alignment: Assist in the testing and technical maintenance of corporate Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity Plans (BCP).
  • Technical Baselines: Establish and enforce configuration baselines for all managed workstations to eliminate configuration drift across the global fleet.

Advanced Support & Operations (20%)

  • L2+ Operations: Provide high-level technical support for complex hardware, network, and cloud software issues that exceed standard service desk capabilities.
  • Observability & Monitoring: Deploy and fine-tune infrastructure monitoring tools to proactively track global system health and maintain situational awareness.
  • Vendor & Stack Administration: Coordinate with SaaS and infrastructure vendors to resolve systemic bugs, manage API integrations, and provide deep technical administration for Google Workspace, Azure/GCP, and EDR systems.

Universal Methodology (Applied across all responsibilities)

  • ITIL Service Delivery: Follow disciplined ITIL frameworks for incident, request, and rigorous Change Management to ensure minimal business disruption.
  • AI-Augmented Engineering: Proactively leverage generative AI tools to validate administrative scripts, synthesize technical data, and rapidly author Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Knowledge Management: Act as a core contributor to the team Knowledge Base, ensuring infrastructure configuration changes and workflows are thoroughly documented.

Who You Are

  • Experienced Project Driver: Proven track record of executing mid-to-large scale IT infrastructure projects and delivering them reliably on schedule.
  • Analytical Systems Thinker: Possesses the situational awareness to understand the downstream impacts of configuration choices before execution.
  • Proactive Problem Solver: Independently identifies infrastructure optimization opportunities, writes targeted scripts (PowerShell/Python), and proposes practical technical solutions.
  • Clear Communicator: Comfortable working across international time zones and collaborating effectively with cross-functional team members.

Experience You'll Need

  • Professional Experience: 4+ years in systems administration, infrastructure engineering, or advanced IT support roles within high-growth environments.
  • Advanced Scripting: Robust proficiency in PowerShell and Python is mandatory for automating user lifecycles and bridging data gaps between systems (e.g., Rippling, Intune, Jira).
  • Technical Mastery: Strong experience administering cloud and endpoint management tools (e.g., Google Workspace, Azure, MDM platforms, SharePoint).
  • AI Literacy: Demonstrated experience leveraging AI platforms (Gemini, Claude AI) to accelerate troubleshooting and documentation is essential.
  • Framework Maturity: ITIL 4 Foundation certification highly preferred. If not certified, a demonstrated practical application of ITIL frameworks (specifically Incident, Problem, and Change Management) within high-growth, distributed, or asynchronous environments is highly preferred.

Success Metrics (KPIs)

  • Project Delivery: Majority of assigned infrastructure and engineering milestones are completed on schedule.
  • Security Compliance: Technical tasks for "Critical" and "High" security findings are executed successfully within defined compliance windows.
  • Automation Efficiency: Successfully reduce manual overhead by building automated onboarding/offboarding workflows within the first 6 months.
