Landis+Gyr is seeking a Software Implementation Intern for Summer 2026 starting in May through the end of July/beginning of August to work on-site fulltime hours Monday through Friday at our Alpharetta, GA location. This is a paid internship but we don't provide housing assistance or relocation so will be considering local applicants.
Project Overview
KSH to python script conversions. MDMS will no longer support ksh scripts EOY 2026 and the team is focused on billable work. There are approximately 250 ksh scripts to convert to python.
Objectives/Responsibilities
- Convert Korn shell scripts to Python
- Learn MDMS functionality
- Bring emerging technology concepts/ideas to team
Education/Experience
An undergraduate student who by May 2026 will have completed their Sophomore or Junior year working towards a Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or Computer Science. New graduates as of May 2026 and Masters level students will not be considered. Knowledge of/experience with Python and Linux Operating Systems is required.
