In coordination with their manager, the CSO also defines objectives for year N+1 during year N, which are submitted to DSIE for validation. DSIE may adjust, reprioritize, or supplement these objectives. The CSO plans, implements, coordinates, organizes, manages, and reports on all security activities within the entity. Within their scope (including subsidiaries and secondary establishments), the CSO acts as the central point of contact for all security-related matters, whether concerning the Group or third parties interacting with the entity. The CSO collaborates with all relevant stakeholders and actively contributes to protecting employees, assets, and information. In this capacity, they ensure the implementation of appropriate prevention and protection measures to manage and maintain security risks at an acceptable level.

  • contributes to maintaining a safe environment for all employees, including local staff and expatriates, and provides business travelers with appropriate guidance and security alerts;
  • supports the protection of sensitive and strategic information by raising awareness, contributing to data mapping, supporting classification processes, and leading or contributing to investigations in case of data breaches;
  • prepares for security crisis management and may participate in crisis response teams;
  • conducts annual internal control self-assessments, identifies gaps, and defines mitigation plans;
  • oversees security aspects of major events;
  • develops, where necessary, specific security policies, procedures, and plans in compliance with Group rules and local regulations;
  • conducts third-party audits (security providers) and due diligence processes, sharing results with DSIE when required;
  • supports business development teams in identifying and mitigating security risks related to projects and operations;
  • establishes an annual security risk mapping (people, infrastructure, information) and submits it to DSIE;
  • advises the Executive Committee on regulatory changes impacting security practices and decision-making;
  • shares lessons learned (REX) with DSIE and the security network to support continuous improvement.

The implementation and performance of these responsibilities are assessed through key performance indicators (KPIs) defined in coordination with DSIE.
