Senior Associate - Structured & Project Finance

At Nordic Solar, we’re continuing to grow our project pipeline within solar and battery storage projects. The Senior Associate will play a crucial role in helping secure the debt financing needed to make Nordic Solar’s renewable energy projects a reality.

This is a full-time position based in our modern head office in Hellerup. You will report to the Director of Structured & Project Finance.

The Structured & Project Finance team of three has a relaxed and supportive team dynamic. This is a great opportunity for someone eager to develop themselves and learn from an experienced team. There are many opportunities for development, both within the team as well as in the wider organization. The ambition is for the Senior Associate to gain more ownership of projects over time, and ultimately lead a transaction from term-sheet stage to financial close.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Develop and structure suitable financing solutions for new solar PV and BESS projects.
• Create compelling presentations for lenders and senior management.
• Explore financing options by building and managing financial models, structuring the debt to fit specific projects and local market standards.
• Support project financing negotiations, ensuring deals are aligned with Nordic Solar’s financial strategy and risk tolerance.
• Collaborate with various stakeholders internally and externally to ensure a timely and smooth process.
• Translate financial data into actionable insights to support strategic business decisions.
• Assist with finding guarantees and obtaining PPA’s for projects.

About you

• A master’s degree in finance, economics, MBA, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in structured or project finance (financial or renewable energy sector is a plus).
• You enjoy working with financial modelling in Excel and presenting your insights in a clear and structured way.
• Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with various stakeholders both internally and externally.
• Proactive, open-minded, problem – solver who focuses on opportunities rather than limitations.
• Knowledge of financial markets, interest rate trends, and various debt instruments, in order to provide the best project financing recommendations.
