Senior Procurement Specialist

We are seeking a Senior Procurement Specialist with industry experience to join our team at the Customer Qualification Plant (CQP) in Mo i Rana, Norway and ensure cost-effective procurement processes, and maintain strong supplier relationships. The CQP in FREYR is the heart of research and development of our battery product and process technology.

The factory holds a full battery production line dedicated to processing and testing of new materials, development of processes and cell design, producing battery samples and optimizing the manufacturing process. The work done here will set the foundation for succeeding in expanding the production up to a Giga scale.

Your main tasks include

• Developing and implementing procurement strategies to meet the company's needs and objectives
• Sourcing and evaluating suppliers, negotiating contracts, and establishing long-term relationships with key vendors
• Managing the procurement process from requisition to delivery, ensuring timely and cost-effective purchasing
• Monitoring market trends and conditions to identify potential risks and opportunities
• Coordinating with internal departments to understand and fulfill their procurement requirements
• Maintaining accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other relevant data
• Ensuring compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements
• Resolving any procurement-related issues or discrepancies in a timely manner
• Preparing and presenting reports on procurement activities and performance metrics

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Legal Studies, or related field; substantial experience in the field can compensate for the absence of a formal degree
• Experience in procurement, strong negotiation skills and attention to detail
• Knowledge of industry regulations, legal requirements, and best practices in procurement
• Familiarity with contract law and the ability to collaborate effectively with legal professionals
• Proficiency in procurement software and tools
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Fluent in English both, oral and written
