Do you want to contribute to the development of large offshore and onshore wind projects, by making use of your technical and/or financial background as well as gaining first-hand experience from renewable energy projects around the globe? PEAK Wind is looking for a Business Case Consultant to join our international team, to provide advisory for clients in some of the largest renewable infrastructure investments globally.

Job Content, Responsibilities, and Possibilities

Based in our office in Taipei, you will work in an ambitious and dedicated team of mixed seniorities and nationalities with financial, technical, and commercial competencies, all of which combine interdisciplinary teamwork. Here you will report to the team lead of our O&M Business Case discipline, which is part of the Operations Economics & Analytics Team in our Consulting arm of PEAK Wind. The team is responsible for developing operational budget development and project-specific O&M concepts for renewable energy assets on behalf of clients in Europe, APAC, and North America.

More specifically, the team’s areas of responsibilities include:

• Developing operational budgets and business case input incl. risk evaluation, value levers, and sensitivity analyses for offshore wind projects predominantly (but not limited to) in APAC
• Strategic consultancy regarding topics related to the operations & maintenance of renewable energy projects, primarily onshore and offshore wind energy
• Developing and maintaining Excel and Python-based analytical models and tools, to best support our client engagements
• Developing business and market intelligence incl. benchmarking tools that support our consultancy services
• Supporting internal tool developments, best practices, sales, and project management
• Ensuring continuous development of market knowledge and assumption updates in strong collaboration with colleagues and industry stakeholders

What you Bring and your Qualities

• You have a financial, business, or technical educational background with top-tier results, e.g., MSc in Economics & Business Administration or Engineering. Also:
• You have relevant working experience from either a student job, an internship, or maybe 1-3 years of post-educational experience from a role, where you have gained experience from some of the above-mentioned tasks
• You thrive working in a collaborative and multicultural environment and value the benefits of working alongside colleagues
• You have strong communication skills and solid experience using the MS Office suite
• You are highly skilled in working with MS Excel and financial modelling
• You are fluent in spoken and written English

As a person, you are numerical, analytic, logical, and detail-oriented by nature. Delivering exact calculations and well-argued recommendations with the highest quality is crucial for your problem-solving. Additionally:

• You preferably have experience with Python and/or any analogous programming language
• Can sit concentrated with complicated numerical and strategic data independently – but you also understand the value of collaborating as a team and supporting colleagues who need an extra hand
• Are not afraid of asking questions to fully understand a task, the client’s concerns, or quality check your deliveries
• Thrive working in a professional environment characterized by high standards and take pride in delivering high-quality output by being diligent and quality-conscious
• Are curious and able to challenge others
• Keep your internal and external stakeholders informed and align expectations continuously
