Senior Engineer - Testing

Job Description

As a Test Engineer at Nissens Cooling Solutions, you will play a vital role in our Test Lab – an integral part of our Technology department. You’ll be working alongside skilled colleagues to plan, execute, and evaluate a broad range of tests, including performance and durability testing of coolers and cooling system components.

Our solutions support demanding industries such as wind energy, rail, mining, and construction – and your work will directly impact the design, optimization, troubleshooting, and approval of cooling modules for some of the most prominent global players in these sectors.

Purpose of Position

Responsibilities

• Planning and execution of durability tests – pressure pulse, thermal stress, and burst tests
• Planning and execution of corrosion tests according to applicable standards
• Functional testing of various components in a cooling system
• Data processing, evaluation, and reporting of performed tests
• Participation in cross-functional projects related to the development and optimization of test methods and equipment

Our requirements

• Education as a Marine Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, or similar
• Experience with corrosion or durability testing
• Practical experience with test is preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including being an experienced user of Excel
• Strong English skills, both spoken and written
• An independent, hands-on, and structured approach to tasks and challenges with attention to detail and quality
• A profile that sees tasks through to completion and thrives in a versatile and dynamic work environment where both operations and development play a key role, and where bridging theory and practice is essential
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with both colleagues and management:
  Able to tailor communication and content to the target group and purpose
  Able to ask the right questions to ensure high quality in the results
• A genuine interest in acquiring new knowledge, e.g., through review of international standards
