What you'll do
The Communications Manager (Content Strategy & Management), owns and elevates CrossBoundary's content strategy across the Group. This role requires a proven content strategist who can translate complex investment narratives into a cohesive editorial and content engine designed to drive measurable business outcomes and position the firm as a global investment and asset management leader in underserved markets.
The Communications Manager will serve as CrossBoundary's content authority, independently managing our editorial calendar, developing data-driven content strategies, and building systems that scale our storytelling across our diverse portfolio of businesses and geographies. Alongside content, the Communications Manager role will carry our messaging and positioning through to events communications and media coordination.
The Communications Manager will function as the senior content authority on CrossBoundary Group's Communications team and report to the Director of Global Communications. This role works closely with CrossBoundary Advisory's investment advisory teams around the world, as well as colleagues across Investor Relations, Corporate Development, Business Development, People and Executive teams.
Who you are
Acts Like an Owner. Takes end-to-end accountability for the content pipeline. You do not wait for direction to unblock a stalled asset, chase a subject matter expert, or reposition a piece. You advocate for resources when the work requires them and ties that case to business goals.
Prioritizes Results. Develops content strategies that serve commercial objectives across distinct businesses. You define what success looks like before publishing, track performance against it, and reallocate effort based on evidence.
Stakeholder Leadership. Acts as trusted content adviser to partners and platform leads who do not report to them, and secures their time, in-depth thinking, and sign-off. You coach colleagues inside and outside the department and raise the professional standard around you.
Skilled Communicator. Writes and edits at publication standard with minimal review. You QA and elevate other people's work to CrossBoundary standard without flattening their voice.
Relentlessly Curious. Produces work that leads the industry rather than matches it. You track how technology, analytics, and audience behavior are changing communications, and you apply learnings to your work and how the team operates.
Manages Resources. Forecasts and requests project budgets, monitors delivery against them, and holds agencies, freelancers and production partners to quality and value. You are meticulous about where spend goes, and you can defend every line of it.
Responsibilities
Group content strategy and editorial ownership
- Own CrossBoundary Group's content strategy and editorial calendar from planning through publication, aligned to business development cycles, fundraising timelines and the events calendar
- Set quarterly and annual editorial priorities in partnership with the Director of Global Communications and platform leadership
- Manage distribution and amplification plans for major publication assets across owned, partner, media and search channels, with accountability for reach, downloads and qualified engagement

Content and thought leadership development
- Maintain segmented messaging matrices per platform and ensure published content holds to them
- Convert technical analysis, project learnings and sector expertise into publication-ready thought leadership: articles, sector and market explainers, data-led commentary, case studies and reports, short form multimedia, and more
- Copy write and shape executive content for Group and platform leadership, including op-eds, speeches, panel material and social media commentary
- Position CrossBoundary perspectives within live market and policy debates, timed to industry moments and the firm's event calendar
- Position and pitch CrossBoundary's expert-driven publications as event and media anchors, including speaking opportunities, roundtables, webinars, podcasts, co-authorship/placement, and more
- Support emerging business lines and platforms as their content needs evolve, establishing narrative foundations rather than one-off assets
Content systems and governance
- Build and own the workflows, briefs, templates, taxonomies and repositories that make content production predictable and repeatable

Event and strategic engagement communications
- Guide on and lead content and communications for priority Group and platform events, including pre-event positioning, on-site content capture and post-event amplification
- Build content programs around major industry moments so the firm's presence produces published assets rather than attendance alone
- Coordinate with events colleagues on messaging, collateral, speaker material and delegate-facing communications
Media and stakeholder coordination
- Coordinate inbound and outbound media activity, including press releases, statements, media lists, briefing notes and interview preparation
- Track the news agenda and identify moments where CrossBoundary has a credible and differentiated position

- Strong judgment and prioritization under competing deadlines, with the confidence to make calls without waiting for direction
- Experience managing external vendors, agencies or freelancers against budget and quality standards
- Experience working across global, distributed teams
