Electrolyzers are 100% manufactured by plug or including partially plug components. Any other installation Plug which delivers or compresses hydrogen
The Service Specialist - H2 is responsible for providing initial construction and commissioning duties as well as after-market service and support of Plug Power's, hydrogen systems at customer sites. The role requires highly adept technical and troubleshooting skills both with electro-mechanical and industrial gas systems. The Hydrogen Service Specialist will also be called upon to train and develop our customers and internal Plug Power employees on H2 system maintenance, procedures, and troubleshooting so that they can effectively help provide maintenance and operational functionality. The Hydrogen Service Specialist - ELX also provides a critical interface to Plug Power customer stakeholders and is looked upon to be an ambassador for Plug Power in the field. This role is vital to supporting the strong reputation for the reliability of Plug Power technology as well as furthering the Company's reputation as a dedicated service partner to customers.
Core Duties and Responsibilities
- Exhibit, develop site specific WHS and other required safety documents including SWMS, permit requests, and enforce safety procedures in the field and at customer sites.
- Lead, mentor and supervise teams of third party contractors.
- Support, perform and provide reporting of activities related to the delivery, construction, installation and commissioning of Plug Power products in the region.
- Performing detailed surveys (including sign off of EWD and PID verification documents) of the Hydrogen infrastructure at customer sites
- Performing maintenance and service of hydrogen systems at customer sites.
- Perform local (Siemens S7 HMI) as well as remote diagnostics, troubleshooting, and evaluations to provide direction to customer service support personnel.
- Interpret wiring and piping diagrams, implement issued change forms and perform wiring changes where required.
- Providing emergency support service to customers as required on their systems.
- Training and supervising other personnel on troubleshooting, maintenance, and service of Hydrogen infrastructure.
- Provide customer training on their hydrogen systems.
- Perform special assignments including laboratory testing, field readiness demonstration testing, and marketing trade show support.
- Maintaining ongoing communication with customer personnel regarding commissioning, project status and aftermarket support of hydrogen infrastructure.
- Attend regular scheduled meetings and manage reporting and feedback to company management regarding field maintenance issues.
- Complete administrative duties & documentation including expense reports, mileage logs, site, and system documentation.
- Represent Plug Power in a professional manner at all times and in all interactions.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Australian OR New Zealand (AU/NZ) Citizenship or permanent residence.
- AU/NZ trade qualified and Licensed Electrician. HV licensed and duel trade (instro) preferred.
- Australian White card (or the ability to apply) and AU/NZ open drivers license.
- Ability to travel as needed to carry out duties of the position - up to 100%
- This position requires regular drug and alcohol testing.
