Accountable For
Support Eos's software & analytics development roadmap by carrying out analysis and building algorithms & models based on telemetry from Eos's growing body of installed energy storage systems. Support Eos's manufacturing operations by carrying out analysis on Eos's manufacturing process data and in-house quality control processes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct analyses, build models, and develop tools to support Eos in managing and optimizing the operation of its growing fleet of installed energy storage systems, using both traditional analysis and machine learning techniques.
- Carry out analyses as needed to support other teams such as field service, operations, product testing, & manufacturing.
- Support development of infrastructure to automate and integrate any developed models & algorithms and their derived learnings.
- Communicate findings to other stake holders in the form of presentations, reports, browser-hosted dashboards to disseminate findings. Create derived documentation or training materials as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong general-purpose scripting skills
- Background in mathematics and statistics.
- Experience developing machine learning models.
- Python strongly preferred (numerical/data packages such as Numpy, Pandas, Scipy, etc... beneficial).
- Some knowledge of SQL databases.
- Strong technical writing and reporting skills.
- Basic familiarity with Linux.
- Ability to work independently and well within a team.
- Experience with timeseries telemetry data or similar preferred.
- Experience with operational data from deployed field systems, IOT systems, etc. preferred.
- Experience modelling physical systems, control systems, etc. preferred.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in data science or similar field required.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience.
Travel
- Overnight/North America: Less than 10%
Working Conditions
- Office Environment - Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time and occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading. May be required to exert up to 25 pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
