Lead and improve quality processes within manufacturing operations, ensuring compliance with industry standards, customer requirements, and internal procedures. Drive continuous improvement initiatives, reduce process variation, and serve as a technical mentor to quality staff.
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality control processes to ensure product and process compliance.
- Lead process capability studies, statistical analysis, and risk assessments (PFMEA).
- Support new product introduction (NPI) and process validation activities.
- Drive and mentor continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and problem-solving methodologies.
- Manage and mentor of strong root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for process-related issues.
- Responsible for approving RCA and final CAPA's ensuring robust analysis and corrective action addressed
- Ensure adherence to applicable ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO45001)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing efficiency and quality performance.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Train and mentor engineers, technicians, and operators in quality tools and best practices.
- Monitor and report key quality metrics (rework, defects per million, process yield, etc).
- Ensure product conformity with internal quality standards and customer requirements through AQL controls.
- Coordinate compliance with the LPA audit program.
- Work according to I.M.S. (Integrated Management System) which includes ISO 9K, 45K, 14K, 27K and 22301.
Required Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, or related field).
- 5-8 years in Quality or Process Engineering, with at least 2-3 years in a senior or lead role.
Required Knowledge/Skills
- Quality management systems (ISO, MC or industry-specific).
- Core quality tools: APQP, PPAP, FMEA, CP, MSA, SPC.
- Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies (Green Belt or Black Belt certification is a plus).
- Strong background in process validation and continuous improvement.
- Knowledge and application of international attribute sampling standards (ISO 2859-1, ANSI/ASQ Z1.4)
- Experience in classifying defects (Critical, Major, Minor) and establishing acceptance/rejection criteria.
- Knowledge and experience in the planning, execution, and follow-up of Layered Process Audits (LPA)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Leadership and mentoring capabilities.
- Effective communication with cross-functional teams and customers.
- Strong technical writing skills preferred; minimum conversational English required.
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis and quality software (Minitab, JMP, or equivalent).
- Ability to define and implement AQL-based inspection plans according to lot size and inspection level (Normal, Reduced, or Tightened).
