Job Description

Ameresco's Operations & Maintenance Group is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team at Parris Island, SC. In this hands-on role, you will perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on a variety of mechanical and electrical systems including chillers, ozone systems, water softeners, and power plant equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions across various systems.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and repair services on mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Inspect equipment regularly to ensure operational safety and performance.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized maintenance warehouse and office.
  • Learn and utilize Asset Planner software for daily, monthly, and annual PMs.
  • Communicate parts and materials needs to the manager for timely ordering.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and company policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience.
  • Valid Driver's License in good standing.
  • Ability to review confidential US security information.
  • Must live within one hour of Parris Island.

  • Strong problem-solving and diagnostic abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Attention to detail and sound judgment.
  • Clear and effective communication (verbal, written, and digital).
  • Professionalism, accountability, and a positive attitude.
  • Commitment to safety standards and best practices.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Ability to lift/move up to 75 lbs. and perform physical labor for extended periods.
  • Able to work in various physical positions (climbing, kneeling, standing, etc.).
  • Must be able to use tools and operate maintenance equipment.

Environmental Conditions

  • Outdoor work environment in all weather conditions.
  • Exposure to heat, cold, humidity, dust, and fumes.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.

  • This is a contractor position on a military base; it does not lead to government employment.
  • Relocation assistance is not provided.
  • Must demonstrate a positive attitude and quality workmanship daily.
