Main Responsibilities
- To successfully Install, maintain, test and commission electrical power distribution and power control systems for Wartsila clients.
- To compile detailed technical reports for customers approval.
- Conduct fault finding, troubleshooting, site surveys and prepare detailed work specifications.
- To test and commission LV & HV Switchboards.
- Assist with all work being conducted in the workshop (panel build, FAT's etc) and on site.
- Prepare a list of tools, test equipment and materials needed for workload.
- Carry out the commissioning of generator controls and power management systems.
- Liaise with customer on site to generate enquiries and technical queries.
- Play a leading role in ensuring that all work carried out is to ISO 9001/2000 standard.
- Ensure that all activities on-site are carried out in accordance with the site safety rules and in compliance with the Company's Health and Safety obligations.
- To adopt a pleasant, adaptable attitude when requested to assist Company staff with any "ad-hoc" duties required.
- In addition to the above duties and responsibilities, the post holder must be prepared to undertake such additional duties within their capabilities which may result from changing circumstances, but which may not of necessity, change the general character or level of responsibility of the post.
Accountabilities
- To work within company procedures.
- Accuracy and professional standard of field service deliverables (i.e. problem solving and quality of work).
- Compliance with Health and Safety legislation, QA and other Company procedures always.
- To meet personal targets set for the individual as agreed under the appraisal system, keeping such targets under regular review (at least monthly) and taking appropriate action to maintain performance against targets with support from and in collaboration with other colleagues as necessary.
- Supervision of field service teams; Maintaining of morale and team spirit, ensuring that all members of the team are fully familiar with the company QA policies, Health and Safety regulations.
- Compliance always with appropriate QA and Health and Safety procedures.
- To develop skill level to progress through skills passport system.
