We are now looking for a Area Manager Operation Management Support, US to join our team working for a better future. The position is permanent and the preferred location is in Houston, US.
What you will be doing
You will lead and manage the development of agreement delivery processes and operations within US, promoting the continuous improvement of agreement delivery performance and efficiency while ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and customer needs.
You will lead the development and implementation of processes, tools, methodologies, analytics, solutions and systems to optimize agreement delivery activities, driving the development vision and creating development plans.
You will lead a team of experts, planning activities, setting objectives, monitoring performance, developing capabilities and providing coaching and training for professional growth.
You will ensure compliance with organizational policies and industry standards, while actively seeking opportunities for innovation.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to align agreement delivery operations with organizational goals and customer needs.
You will monitor and analyse agreement delivery performance to champion innovation and change within the agreement delivery domain, identifying improvement opportunities to drive operational efficiency and service quality.
You will develop and maintain expertise in the field, serving as a credible source of up-to-date information and knowledge for the team. Stay abreast of market trends and business contexts, integrating insights to improve agreement delivery outcomes.
As Area Manager Operation Management Support, US, your work will focus on these responsibilities
- Timely solve customer technical and operational issues to ensure maximum uptime and reliability
- Identify installations not running optimal and create leads for moving up in the services value ladder.
- Manage the team of operations management experts & act as an operational support expert within Services.
- Manage and solve complex customer operating issues remotely and propose performance improvements to the equipment/installation.
- Ensure interaction with maintenance management and performance management experts.
- Work closely with digital product development to ensure the digital products are developed to support our customer business.
- Create external awareness and visibility of digital tools and successes through predictive analytics and remote support
- Make full use of data and analytics and provide proactively valuable technical advice based on AI-driven expert insight tools.
- Ensure competent resources and competence development of personnel within the team, coach, and mentor operations management experts.
- Contribute in creating the organization's action plans and implementing assigned actions.
- Ensure that the business objectives and targets are met.
- Have ownership of monitoring and analyzing equipment performance to improve and maintain the performance of the installation.
- Ensure that the required documentation is created to internal and external stakeholders.
- Development of operations management function and implement Agreement Management action plans, processes, and guidelines in the assigned responsibility area.
- Handle and monitor technical requests for the agreement installations.
- Ensure implementation of the processes and tools according to business as well as Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental guidelines.
- Participate in developing tools and improving ways of working to support agreements and assist customers in improving their businesses.
- Support new products in life cycle solutions for operations management.
- Acquire know-how and follow up on the latest global development trends of the respective operational expert area.
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have
- Good knowledge of agreement way of working, process, and tools under agreement management
- Good understanding of TR tools and portals, Wedge applications, Cyber security, Fuel, lube oil and water management, Maintenance management, Operation management, Control room knowledge, Electrical systems, Engine Control Systems, Engine knowledge, Performance and Trend analysis, Scheduled maintenance, technical drawings, and flow charts
- Strong technical and in-depth knowledge of Wartsila engine and auxiliary systems with over 5 years of experience in operations or technical support roles.
- Ability to lead a team at an area level
- Drives results with excellent skills in planning and leading the change and execution
In this role, some travel is required to meet with our customers. Thus, we hope you to be ready to travel approximately 20%, even though most of the meetings are held virtually.
