We're the leading owner and operator of battery storage in the UK, supporting the National Grid with the uptake of renewable power. We also work with c.90% of the UK's major bus companies, powering 25% of the UK e-bus market. We're also the number one owner and operator of e-buses in Australia and New Zealand, and are quickly expanding into light commercial vehicles and trucks. The Opportunity
Following Zenobē's rapid growth story, an exciting opportunity has arisen in our Finance team. With global expansion and rapid growth, Zenobē is now looking to hire a pro-active, detail-oriented Treasury Manager.
The Treasury Manager will play a pivotal role in establishing and developing our standalone Treasury function. Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for a broad range of treasury activities, with a particular focus on front-end treasury operations.
This is a hands-on role suited to somebody eager to shape the future of a newly established and growing Treasury function and drive process improvement.
This role provides a rare opportunity to help build and shape a Treasury function within a fast-scaling business and will suit somebody who will thrive in a collaborative and ambitious environment.
A Taste of the Day to Day
Cash and Liquidity Planning
- Oversee daily cash management, including daily cash position reporting and optimisation of Group cash through planning and executing sweeps and managing intercompany funding.
- Own the preparation and presentation of short term cashflow forecasting to ensure sufficient liquidity for operational and significant project needs.
- Manage and develop relationships with banking partners, coordinate account openings, and own bank mandate administration across our international banking network.
- Devise strategies to maximise cash efficiency and work closely with FP&A to ensure efficient cash planning is put at the heart of transactional decision making.
Debt and Equity Administration
- Administer debt facilities, working with the Operations teams to plan and execute drawdowns, whilst maintaining appropriate capital structuring on projects and ensuring timely principal and interest payments.
- Support with debt reporting cycles, including preparation of financial and operational performance reports and covenant compliance certification.
- Assist with periodic and ad hoc shareholder reporting and equity requests.
- Work with other teams to ensure treasury matters are carefully considered in debt raises and refinancing opportunities.
Risk Management
- Administer our existing portfolio of derivatives used to hedge exposure to interest and FX risk, including supporting periodic valuations and the hedge accounting process.
- Help establish and maintain treasury policies, procedures, and controls, designed to mitigate interest rate, FX, and counter-party risk.
- Work with Enterprise Risk Manager on modelling the impact of financial risks on the business.
Process and Tool Enhancement
- Lead and contribute to projects to improve efficiency and automation, including the selection and implementation of a Treasury Management System (TMS) during 2026.
- Continuously improve treasury tools, systems, and processes to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
- Champion the use of AI and emerging technologies to elevate the Finance function.
- Partner with wider finance teams (Tax, FP&A, Group Reporting and Operations) to ensure cohesive cash flow and risk management and help raise the internal profile of the Treasury team.

Required
- c.5+ years' treasury experience, ideally gained in a Corporate or Group Treasury environment, within infrastructure, energy, or capital-intensive sectors
- Strong knowledge of cash management, FX, interest rate risk, and banking operations
- Strong understanding of debt and equity financing structures
- Ability to interpret complex financial data, identify trends, and make sound financial recommendations.
- Able to clearly and concisely communicate complex financial information to both financial and non-financial audiences.
- The capacity to understand the business context and contribute to long-term strategic financial planning.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence decision-making.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Highly Desired
- Experience with TMS implementation and administration
- Experience with project finance within a global, multi-entity Treasury function
- Relevant qualifications, including a degree in Finance, Economics, or related field; ACT part-qualification / qualification or similar preferred
- Advanced Excel skills for analysis, reporting, and modelling
