Job Description

Born from Solar Impulse, the first electric airplane to fly around the world, H55 is on a mission to make aviation clean, safe, and affordable.

We are building the certification-grade energy platform that enables electric aviation to scale, delivering propulsion and energy storage systems trusted by regulators, OEMs, and operators. Because in aviation, technology only matters when it is certified and flying.

H55 has already integrated and flown multiple electric aircraft platforms and is rapidly expanding across North America. Our recent multi-state Electric Aviation Tour brought electric flight directly to flight schools, partners, and customers, accelerating real-world adoption across the US.

Join a team at the forefront of a new aviation market, where momentum is building, customers are engaging, and the future of flight is taking shape.

Your Role

The Aircraft Sales Lead, North America is responsible for driving the commercial development and sales of H55's BRM fully electric two-seat training aircraft across the United States and Canada.

This is a senior individual contributor role focused on building pipeline, winning customers, and closing aircraft fleet deals with flight schools, training organizations, aeroclubs, and aviation institutions transitioning to electric fleets.

You will own the full sales cycle, from early engagement to contract signature, and play a key role in bringing electric aircraft into real-world operations across North America.

You will work closely with H55's teams in Switzerland across program management, certification, engineering, and customer support.

The role is remote within the United States and requires frequent travel for customer meetings, demonstrations, and aviation events.

Your Responsibilities

Commercial Strategy & Market Development

  • Own and drive the full sales cycle for the BRM electric trainer across North America
  • Identify, prospect, and develop new customers including flight schools, universities, aviation academies, and training organizations
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of aircraft sales opportunities
  • Structure and close aircraft fleet purchase agreements in coordination with internal teams
  • Support aircraft demonstrations and customer evaluation processes

Customer Engagement

  • Build trusted relationships with decision-makers across training organizations and aviation institutions
  • Guide customers through aircraft evaluation, financing, and fleet transition decisions
  • Ensure strong customer experience and identify opportunities for fleet expansion

Market Development

  • Represent H55 in the North American training market and promote electric aviation adoption
  • Participate in aviation events, demonstrations, and industry engagements
  • Provide market insights and customer feedback to support product and commercial strategy

Proposal & Deal Execution

  • Prepare and deliver tailored commercial proposals aligned with customer operational needs
  • Lead negotiations of aircraft purchase agreements in collaboration with internal stakeholders
  • Coordinate with engineering, certification, and program teams to support aircraft evaluation and delivery

Your Experience & Profile

  • 10+ years of experience in aviation or aerospace sales, ideally in aircraft or fleet sales
  • Proven track record of closing complex, high-value deals
  • Experience working with flight schools, training organizations, or aircraft operators
  • Strong understanding of flight training operations and aircraft acquisition cycles
  • Experience managing long and complex sales processes
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or aviation/engineering degree is a plus
  • Pilot license or operational aviation experience is a strong advantage
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Self-driven and entrepreneurial, comfortable operating independently
  • Willingness to travel frequently across the United States and Canada
  • Fluent in English
