Your contribution to TenneT
The Business Development team is active in the field of corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), business consulting, feasibility studies and development of knowledge/ portfolio in the field of new technologies and innovations such as storage and interconnections. The team works for TenneT in the Netherlands, Germany and the non-regulated subsidiaries of TenneT Holding. The Business Development team is part of the Unit Strategy & Partnerships that is also responsible for TenneT's strategy, innovation, corporate social responsibility and digital and flexibility development.
Additionally, there is a frequent contact with external relations in the industry, investors, technology start-ups, banks and consultants. Are you the fresh, ambitious and communicative person and ready for a new challenge in an international, dynamic environment? To strengthen the Business Development team, we are currently looking for a pro-active Advisor Business Development. As an Advisor Business Development you engage in acquisition processes and preparation and evaluation of analysis for projects. Your work is varied in profile dependent on need. Your main activities are:
- Supervise and coordinate M&A processes from initiation to completion
- Participate in strategic projects and support the Executive Board on strategic questions
- Feasibility assessment of new technologies and translating these in business opportunities
- Ensure excellent due diligence in the area of accounting, legal, environmental, financial and technical aspects
- (Financial) economic research and making business cases with a solid (risk) analysis
- Reporting to the relevant stakeholders both internally and externally
- Make independent well-founded valuations
Your profile and background
You are a highly motivated professional with multiple years working experience, seeking a new challenge; You have a relevant university degree, preferably in the field of (corporate) finance and/or business development; You have practical experience with due diligence and making valuations, have experience leading complex projects and giving guidance to (external) consultants in various disciplines.
You are a respected advisor, have strong facilitation, communication, presentation and negotiation skills, have strong organisational sensitivity and a clear ability to build strong relationships with business stakeholders at all levels; You are a strategic thinker and have a hands-on mentality; take responsibility, are accountable and results driven, have proven problem-solving skills and the ability to identify, analyse, and resolve problems, driving solutions through to completion; Excellent language skills, both in English and preferably in German and/or Dutch.
