The Continental Metering Business Operations department is the process engine for all metered business activities in Germany, Iberia, France, Italy and Poland, and possibly more continental markets to come. The team is an important contributor of the deal entry to payment value chain of a contract, ensuring accurate validation of all contract parameters, master data and contract configurations, balance and contract settlement, invoicing & accrual processes, payment preparation & P&L calculation. This department has important interfaces and deliveries to our New Products and Investment Support unit, EU Regulatory Reporting, Revenue Operations, Certificate Management and many other different departments in the Finance, Accounting, Tax and Legal areas.

Job Description

  • Support business operations using Salesforce, eSales, SAP S/4 Hana, SAP AFO, SAP Analytics Cloud etc.
  • Operational activities include master data management, data quality checks, invoicing and payment, PnL reporting, month-end accruals, handling customer requests etc.
  • Create reliable interfaces by working closely with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support the department in continuous improvement, identifying synergies between new and existing businesses and preparing our processes for future growth.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in business, accounting, engineering, or similar with relevant work experience (recent university graduates with relevant experience through internships/working student jobs can also apply).
  • Knowledge of financial accounting and experience using SAP.
  • Experience using reporting tools such as SAP AFO and SAC is an advantage.
  • Work experience in energy industry is an advantage, but not a must.
  • Familiarity with customer support and CRM software such as Salesforce is an advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate and collaborate across departments.
  • Fluency in English and one of these languages is a must - German, Italian, French, Spanish or Polish.
