Position Overview

As a Junior Trader and Business Developer, you will play a crucial role in supporting our trade operations and business development initiatives abroad. This entry-level position is ideal for an individual who is highly numerate, strategic, and eager to develop their career in the renewable energy sector. You will work closely with senior traders and the business development team to identify new opportunities, execute trades, and support the growth of our business.

Job Specifications

Trade Assistance

• Assist senior traders in the execution of biodiesel trades, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Monitor market trends and prices to provide timely updates and recommendations
• Prepare and process trade documentation, including contracts, invoices, and shipping documents
• Maintain detailed records of transactions and ensure data integrity in trading systems

Market Analysis

• Conduct research and analysis on market conditions, competitor activities, and industry trends
• Develop and maintain a database of key market indicators and pricing data
• Prepare reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders

Business Development

• Support the identification and evaluation of new business opportunities in international markets
• Assist in the development of strategic plans to enter new markets and expand existing operations
• Participate in negotiations and relationship-building activities with potential clients, suppliers, and partners

Client Relationship Management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention
• Assist in addressing client inquiries and resolving issues promptly and professionally

Learning and Development

• Stay updated on industry developments, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies in renewable energy
• Participate in training programs and mentoring sessions to enhance your trading and business development skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with a keen eye for detail
• Excellent command of English with strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges
• Previous experience or internships in trading, finance, or renewable energy is a plus but not required
