Energy Support Services is seeking a talented and dedicated Solar O&M Monitoring Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance of our solar energy systems. Join our team and help power a sustainable future!

Essential Functions

  • In-depth monitoring of system performance and alerts across all monitoring systems and asset management software.
  • Diagnose root cause of monitoring system alerts and underperformance.
  • Administer, update, and edit Field Service Management Software (FSM) entries to ensure that field activities are properly logged and documented per Standard Operating Procedure.
  • Coordinate with internal team, subcontractors, and stakeholders to facilitate logistics and planning.
  • Coordinate with Operations team to address and resolve alerts and underperformance.
  • Be able and comfortable providing clients with explanations of actions taken by operations team at solar sites.
  • Log and track performance and alert events in Enterprise Asset Management Software (EAMS)
  • Manage transfer of information between Data Acquisition Systems (DAS), EAMS, and ESS data room.
  • Ensure integrity of system data across all ESS platforms and resources.
  • Use EAMS, DAS, and Excel to create reports including:
    • Performance reports
    • Client deliverables
    • Management requests
  • Manage and maintain ESS file structure and workflow functions.
  • Support ESS field staff in diagnosing and troubleshooting system performance issues.
  • Track compliance schedules for ESS O&M and Asset Management obligations.
  • Field phone calls when necessary and log corresponding entries in to work order management system.
  • Maintain a formal log of real-time activities as defined by ESS.
  • Additional Responsibilities as requested.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field highly preferred.
  • 3 year minimum experience with Solar Data Acquisition Systems, commercial solar systems, design of solar systems, or operating solar systems preferred.
  • Proficiency or knowledge of Solar Data Acquisition Systems (Also Energy) strongly preferred.
  • SEL Quickset experience strongly preferred.
  • Assertive enough to give direction and humble enough to take direction.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills and ability to professionally interface with host customers, clients and landowners.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects, schedules, and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Adobe and Outlook and proven ability to learn new software programs.
  • Firm understanding of the various stakeholders involved in a solar electric plant.

The expected annual wage for this opportunity: $55,000-60,000 encompassing base pay and potential incentive target opportunity. This range is a good faith estimate based on the position's requirements. Specific compensation offered to the selected candidate may vary depending on factors such as relevant knowledge, skills, training, experience, and market conditions. Additionally, this position may qualify for a comprehensive benefits package, including Retirement Benefits, Medical, Dental & Vision, Health Savings Account, Flexible Spending Account, Life Insurance and Disability, Tuition Reimbursement, Voluntary Benefits, Paid Absences, and more.
