Senior Sourcing Manager

Job Description

As a Sr. Sourcing Manager within the Research and Procurement Center, you will play a pivotal role in developing strategic supplier relationships and delivering robust sourcing strategies for a complex portfolio of key raw materials and/or products for solar-powered products. As a team Sr. Manager of the Sourcing department, this role will participate in or play a critical role for local/global sourcing projects and initiatives to ensure the sustainable & stable materials/services of supply for Sun King Global Operations. You are expected to directly contribute to the delivery of the business growth plan by optimizing sustained value in the product cost ensuring our continued success and growth in the global marketplace.

What you will be expected to do

1. Develop and implement sourcing strategies to meet the company's procurement goals including strategic supplier management, cost control, and sourcing risk resolutions;
2. Build and implement robust sourcing procedures to ensure inquiries from operations, R&D, Product, and Project teams are met promptly with decent quality and granularity;
3. Build and maintain strong partnerships internally and externally based on reliance, reliability, and mutual values;
4. Direct sourcing team to fulfill the needs new products and global business to source for better materials, finish goods and solutions;
5. Proactively identify, plan, execute and review Sourcing Team’s development strategy through market insight research, business data modeling and operation data insights.

You might be a strong candidate if you have/are

1. Bachelor’s degree or above in engineering, electrical, mechanical, manufacturing or the relevant engineering background;
2. 8 years + proven working experience in sourcing or supply chain department including a minimum of 3 years experience in a people manager role managing a sourcing team;
3. Expertise in at least one of the fields of battery, solar panel, electrical, or structural parts commodity;
4. Hands-on experience in managing or participating in formulating sourcing strategies covering supplier management policy, procurement procedures, cost control methodologies, and building sourcing team capacities;
5. Knowledge of China EMS and CM supply context;
6. Proficient in using tools or software to review and visualize supply chain data, such as Excel, Looker, Tableau, etc.
7. Proficient with ERP operation;
8. Proficiency in English writing and speaking will be preferred;
9. Strong teamwork spirit and result-oriented at work.
10. Comfortable with spending 25% of working time on business travels.
