Develops and implements internal communications strategy for areas of responsibility. Writes, edits and prepares internal materials, including company publications, group emails, intranet pages, training materials and employee meeting materials. Writes, edits and prepares external communications including industry articles, press releases, blog posts and webcasts. Develops, recommends and maintains editorial policy and branding guidelines. Develops and implements new marketing ideas. Supports communications projects in the areas of advertising and promotional programs, public relations and trade shows, including Internet-based communications. Participates in the development of plans for product promotion in support of marketing objectives. Job Description
The Project Engineer in construction is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of construction projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all specifications, safety standards, and regulations. This role involves coordinating between various teams, clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution and quality control.
Responsibilities
Project Coordination
- Assist project manager in the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects from start to finish.
- Work closely with the project manager to ensure the timely delivery of project milestones.
- Ensure that all construction activities are performed in compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and industry standards.
Technical Support
- Provide technical expertise in reviewing and preparing construction documents, drawings, and specifications.
- Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and ensure quality control and compliance with design documents.
- Troubleshoot any technical issues that arise on-site and provide solutions in a timely manner.
Budget and Schedule Management
- Monitor project costs and budget adherence, identifying any deviations and providing recommendations for corrective actions.
- Ensure that projects are completed within the established schedule, identifying potential delays and mitigating them through effective planning.
Communication and Documentation
- Maintain effective communication with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure project requirements are understood and met.
- Prepare and manage all project documentation, including reports, progress updates, change orders, and close-out documents.
- Track project progress, ensuring milestones are achieved and any project issues are escalated as needed.
Quality Control and Safety
- Conduct regular site visits to ensure work is performed according to approved plans and specifications.
- Ensure safety standards are strictly followed and address any potential hazards to maintain a safe working environment.
- Assist with resolving any quality control issues and implement solutions to ensure the highest standards of construction.
Subcontractor and Vendor Management
- Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to ensure materials and services are delivered on time and meet quality standards.
- Review and approve subcontractor invoices, ensuring work is completed to satisfaction before processing payments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- At least 2 years of proven experience as a Project Engineer in construction or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and techniques.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, AutoCAD).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- The position is required to travel across states from time to time to different manufacturing sites and vendors.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to conduct site visits and inspections in various weather conditions.
- Ability to lift and carry up to [50 lbs] if necessary.
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods during site inspections
Compensation and Benefits
Canadian Solar offers a competitive salary plus fully comprehensive benefits and performance bonus package based on an annual objective achievement.
