  • Lead product initiatives and development across teams: You are the main point of contact and driver for major initiatives, focusing on our company strategy, collaborating with and enabling other software engineers, product managers, and the Heartbeat Tech team
  • Develop energy data features: Design, implement, and maintain well-tested frontend features for Energy Data insights within the Heartbeat App and beyond
  • Lead by example: You are an expert and a mentor when it comes to testing your code and delivering scalable, reliable, and high-performing frontend solutions for complex energy data systems
  • Improve User Experience: Continuously define and refine features, incorporating user feedback and industry trends to enhance the customer experience
  • Enable others: You are a champion and mentor to everyone, especially when it comes to sharing your prior knowledge and experience, across team boundaries and beyond the scope of your own role

Your Profile

The successful candidate will have:

  • 6+ years of experience in software engineering and an exceptional degree of proficiency in developing and delivering Flutter-based apps
  • Deep understanding of the Flutter rendering framework, implementation of navigation concepts, native platform integrations and different approaches to state management architectures
  • Substantial experience with collaborating on and implementing native UI/UX guidelines together with product managers and designers
  • Substantial experience with APIs and database management for integrating server-side APIs in Flutter apps
  • To be a key contributor to our overall system architecture and customer experience design
  • Strong ability to adapt quickly in cross-functional teams within a fast-paced, interdisciplinary working environment
  • A passion for lean, well-maintainable, documented, reusable, and tested code
  • Knowledge of software engineering trends and industry best practices
  • Strong written and spoken English skills; German is a plus

Bonus points for:

  • Experience in other areas of software development outside of mobile (backend, frontend, infrastructure, etc.), particularly with Typescript
  • Experience in delivering sophisticated animations in Flutter on platforms incl. Web
  • Experience with Continuous Delivery, cloud infrastructure (ideally Google Cloud) and DevOps practices
  • Experience with designing and implementing APIs
  • Experience with and interest in the climate tech industry
