Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Solar Energy Maintenance Specialist to join our O&M team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our solar energy projects to ensure they operate at maximum efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled maintenance and repairs on equipment, including inverters, switchgear, transformers, breakers, and communications equipment.
- Identify potential problems and suggest changes or corrective actions to prevent downtime.
- Work collaboratively with other members of the maintenance team, sub-contractors, and other groups to continuously improve system performance and drive product quality.
- Prepare documents necessary for procurement and utilization of materials and vendor services.
Requirements
- Minimum 2-5+ years of hands-on experience in field work; renewable energy (solar, wind or similar) environment is an asset.
- Experience in troubleshooting and repairing various types of electrical machinery and equipment.
- Strong work ethic, positive team attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematics, drawings, manuals, and specifications.
