A DAY IN THE LIFE

In this position you’ll use your skills and experience to perform major correctives on a wide variety of wind turbine platforms/brands. During a typical day, you will work at heights and in confined spaces, while being exposed to the elements of weather. At this site near Chenoa, IL you will typically work 5 days a week and 8-10 hours a day. The position may require up to 33% travel per year, with more travel at the start of the position to other site locations for your training.

MORE ABOUT YOU

• You have a High School Diploma or equivalent
• You hold a valid driver’s license
• You will need a safety-focused mindset
• Your positive attitude will contribute to your ability to work in a team environment, while being motivated and taking initiative in daily tasks
• You can identify solutions to issues with process of elimination
• You will bring at least a year of wind experience or a wind certificate with 2-3 years of experience in a mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical troubleshooting maintenance role
• You have the ability to climb stairs and ladders while carrying up to 50 lbs. in weight
• You have experience with the use and understanding of intermediate level power tools such as hydraulic, power torque and diagnostic tools.. (eg Fluke meter functions and hydraulic pressure gauge)
• You have basic computer operation skills, are familiar with internet based program navigation and have the ability to generate and interpret computer data
• You have the ability to read, interpret, and understand drawings and schematics and attention to detail to follow safety protocols (e.g. Confined space, Energy isolation).

Target Pay Range:

$24.72 to $29+
