Job Description

The Logistics Administrator plays a critical role in ensuring seamless transportation and delivery operations for our hydrogen logistics business. Based at the hydrogen plant but reporting to the central logistics organization, this position is responsible for coordinating on-site logistics, managing shipment documentation, scheduling tanker fills, and tracking inbound and outbound logistics movements.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily yard checks to track tanker availability and movement.
  • Schedule and coordinate all tanker fills, ensuring alignment with plant production schedules and customer demand.
  • Prepare and manage shipment paperwork for drivers, ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Process proof-of-deliveries (PODs) and returned documentation for accurate invoice and recordkeeping.
  • Track and coordinate all inbound and outbound tankers, including customer direct pickups.
  • Facilitate communication with external fleets, third-party carriers, and customers for direct pickups while maintaining accurate records of shipments, including electronic documentation management and reporting.
  • Collaborate with Finance to provide shipment data for invoicing and monthly closing processes.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations related to hydrogen transportation.
  • Support logistics process improvements and digital tracking system adoption.
  • Assist with additional duties as needed to enhance operational efficiency.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field).
  • 1-3 years in logistics, supply chain, or transportation administration (hydrogen or hazardous materials experience is a plus).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and logistics tracking software.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently at the plant while collaborating with a remote team.
  • Knowledge of DOT, hazardous materials regulations, and logistics compliance.

Pay Rate

$23.00 - $33.00We offer a fantastic total rewards package at Plug, and a brief summary is below:
