YOUR CHALLENGE

You will be part of a specialized team in charge of the Niagara Region Wind Farm. This site, which has a total installed capacity of 230 MW, located in the town of Smithville within the Niagara Region.

Together with the team, you will actively participate in the proper management of resources through the completion and inspection of various works. Reporting to the Site Director, your electrical expertise will allow you to ensure the performance of the installations through rigorous monitoring of fixes and their documentation.

Your role and main responsibilities will be as follows:

  • Ensure that on-site interventions are in line with production optimization.
  • Participate and carry out work on the collector network, maintenance of the substation and wind turbines.
  • Plan electrical corrective work.
  • Support and guide suppliers on site.
  • Participate in the application of health and safety laws and regulations.
  • Participate in problem solving and propose and implement creative solutions.

YOUR SKILLS

  • Hold a technical degree in an electrical field or any other equivalent training.
  • 309A license would be an Asset
  • Have three to five years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Knowledge and experience in medium and high voltage installations.
  • Knowledge of instrumentation and control (asset).
  • Have a good knowledge of the MS Office suite.
  • Demonstrate a spirit of analysis and synthesis, tact, adaptability and rigor.
