Job Description
You will be based in the Development Services Team and you will report to the Head of Development Services Italy. You will be responsible for the entire grid connection process with the TSO or DNO, from the grid connection request to the energy activation of the plant. You will follow all the connection aspects related to our Italian renewable (solar, wind, storage and hydro) energy projects. You will be the reference person in Statkraft for the relations with the electricity grid operators. You will work closely with Developers and the Engineering (Project Delivery) unit.
Your main responsibilities will be
- Managing both HV and MV grid connection applications throughout the whole design process as defined in the Grid Code (Codice di Rete)
- Being responsible for managing both DSO and TSO grid connection portals (MyTerna, e-distribuzione, Gaudì)
- Being responsible for leading the process for developing and closing any required HV sharing and connection agreement, Technical Approvals (Benestari), as well as Operating Rules and Conditions (Regolamento di Esercizio)
- Being focal point with both DSO and TSO representatives, by means of regular meetings, proactive engagement (also in person when required) to agree on project optimization strategies (in terms of project timing and efficient technical solutions)
- Coordinating on daily basis with internal Technical Departments (Development Areas, Engineering and Construction) and managing both internal and external stakeholders for any relevant topic on a project-by-project base
- Leading and being responsible for the achievement of all main grid connection milestones, such as Project Connection Request (STMG), Project preparation, project technical approval (Benestare), Final connection Request (STMD) and Connection Contract.
Qualifications
- Relevant Engineering Degree
- Proven and consolidated experience and understanding with regards to all necessary steps for connecting Renewable Energy Plants to both National Transmission and Distribution Grid, from the initial application to the commissioning of the plant, for both HV and MV grid connection requests in Italy as well as possessing a sound understanding of the grid connection Italian standards and regulations (i.e. TICA, Grid Code and so forth)
- Proven experience in managing, for the whole design process, all main Italian Grid related portals (MyTerna, e-Distribuzione, Gaudì)
- Proven Experience in development within the Renewable Energy industry is strongly preferred
- Strong capacity in creating and managing relationships with internal departments, external stakeholders and specifically TSO/DSO; a consolidated network with TSO/DSO representatives is considered a plus.
- Fluency in Italian and English.
- Flexibility, interdisciplinary teamwork skills and willingness to travel when required
- Strong proactivity, self-motivation, result-oriented attitude, ability to work without supervision
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment and to manage multiple projects at the same time
- Ability to receive empowerment and autonomy
- Ability to coach and lead own team members
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
