The Material Controller works on the Material Control team under Planning and Material Center, which is responsible for planning and controlling materials used in the Cell Business Unit (BU) located in Indiana, U.S.A.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee Material Center while working closely with Planning, Data Analysis, and Warehouse teams
- Manage and monitor material levels
- Create Bill of Materials (BOM) for cell production
- Work closely with the Warehouse to ensure Production Orders are fulfilled
- Confirm material deliveries to production lines
- Issue purchase orders to the Purchasing team
- Leverage and manage SAP systems for effective control and daily operations.
- Support ISO 9001 activities
- Participate in weekly planning and purchasing conference calls
Qualifications and Experience
- A master’s degree in business, engineering, supply chain, or related fields is preferred, a bachelor’s degree is required
- Over 1 year of working experience in supply chain, warehousing or material planning within a multinational corporation manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated success in delivering strong quantitative results
- Familiar with performing in a fast-moving environment
- Basic knowledge of ERP platforms or SAP is a must
- Exceptional communication skills
- Proficiency in written and spoken English is required; bilingual proficiency in Mandarin is highly desirable
