Job Description
At Voltalia we are passionate about renewable energies! We are an electricity producer from wind, solar, hydro, biomass and storage and also a service provider to 3rd party clients such as Development, EPC, O&M and Distribution.Today we are in 20 countries, split among 4 continents, and offering a global operating capacity to our clients. We are listed on the regulated Euronext market in Paris since July 2014.
The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for suppliers and subcontractors tender process for local services according to the needs of wind, solar and hydro projects within the Voltalia development and construction teams.
The role will also assist in the building of decommissioning, construction project budgets, producing reports on a timely basis and supporting other teams including Development & EPC teams.
Main Responsibilities
- Analyze, understand and anticipate the needs in coordination with the Development team and Project Managers;
- Work with the Project Managers to ensure the procurement for local services as civil and electrotechnical works, electrical installations, substations, transmission lines studies and others;
- Provide commercial support combined with administration experience within a large project team; Building relationships with 3rd parties;
- Identify & manage the tender process for suppliers & subcontractors and liaising with the construction team to assist in final selections; Negotiate with suppliers to meet quality, lead time and cost objectives;
- Handle requests, quotes, proposals and tenders;
- Maintain and develop supplier bases as directed by the department;
- Implement plans to ensure orders meet specified quality and delivery times to minimize costs;
- Evaluate current and potential suppliers in coordination with the Quality department;
- Supporting the development team in the capex assembly stage, ensuring up-to-date offers and updating costs to ensure future budgets are based on current information;
- Manage benchmarking, sourcing and market watch;
- Participate in the selection and negotiation with suppliers and participate in the implementation of contracts;
- Identify opportunities and implement actions to minimise spend/maximise gains;
- Participate in market analysis, supplier risk analysis, pricing estimates, and contract review;
- Compile RQF (owner of the document) – follow up by Project manager.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, Engineering, Economics or similar;
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a qualified /Contract management/Procurement specialist in the Engineering sector;
- knowledge of local regulations, tax and import fees;
- Experience in Sourcing strategy and procurement management;
- Experience in commercial construction or large-scale electrical projects;
- Experience with ICP appointment desired, but not essential;
- Prior experience in Renewable Energies would be a plus;
- Microsoft Office, particularly Excel & MS Project.
Languages:
- Arabic: Native
- English: Fluent
- French or Portuguese are a plus.
