Your position

In your new position as Balance of Plant Service Technician in the Offshore Wind division, you will be a valuable member of the dedicated US Offshore Services Team, whose mission is to deliver reliable and safe service operations on offshore substations and foundation assets. You will have the chance to help pioneer offshore wind support services in the US and grow with a global leader in the energy transition. Your place of work will be at our office in the United States, with offshore travel expected in line with project needs. The position is full-time.

We are looking for proactive and team-oriented people to join our new team in the USA.

Your tasks & responsibilities

As a Balance of Plant Service Technician, you will be responsible for servicing and maintaining offshore substations and balance of plant components.

Your tasks will include but are not limited to:

  • Performing inspections and maintenance on offshore substations, transition pieces, monopiles, and jackets
  • Preparing documentation and reports for service activities
  • Supporting commissioning and hook-up tasks during substation establishment phases
  • Acting as Platform Manager during selected offshore operations
  • Supporting and adhering to health, safety, and environmental standards in all activities

Your profile & qualifications

We are looking for an outgoing and positive technician who is passionate about offshore operations and wants to leave their personal mark on this growing industry. You have a proactive and organised approach to your work and are eager to develop your skills within the offshore wind sector.

To succeed in this position, we imagine that you have:

  • Experience with electrical, mechanical, or structural inspections
  • Technical education or vocational training in relevant disciplines
  • Experience with fault-finding and troubleshooting in complex systems
  • Familiarity with using measurement and test instruments
  • Knowledge of safety standards relevant to offshore or industrial environments
