Job Description
Are you a skilled Commissioning Technician with expertise in GE commissioning? Join our team at FairWind and become an integral part of our GE Projects Team. As a Commissioning Technician, you’ll be instrumental in providing top-notch commissioning services to our partners, ensuring the successful deployment of clean energy solutions across North America. Your Qualifications
- Basic GE fundamentals certifications mandatory
- Basic wind technician certificates (Tower Rescue, CPR, First Aid, AED, OSHA 10, Competent Climber, Confined Space, Working at Heights, NFPA 70, LOTO).
- Proven experience in GE wind turbine commissioning.
- Current certificates from major turbine manufacturers and GWO certificates highly desirable.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
Requirements
- Ability to communicate in English.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Valid driver’s license. No DWI/DUI/OUI in the last 5 years.
- High-School diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to climb up to 300 ft. twice daily.
- Ability to travel 100%
Your Role
- Troubleshooting, maintenance, and operation of wind turbines.
- Tasks will be performed either on the ground or at heights.
- Attend regular on-site safety meetings.
- Safely operate company assigned fleet vehicles.
- Complete and submit required paperwork (commissioning documentation, timesheets, service reports, etc.) Attend on-the-job training with on-site personnel.
- Exhibit high standards of safety and quality.
