Job Description

EnergyHub empowers utilities and their customers to create a clean, distributed energy future. We help consumers turn their smart thermostats, EVs, batteries, and other products into virtual power plants that keep the grid stable and enable higher penetration of solar and wind power.

Our Implementation Services team is looking for a Program Manager to support our Distributed Energy Resource (DER) partner integrations, manage launches, and own post-launch partner support systems. This Program Manager will establish and deliver onboarding content, develop and own project progress tracking methods, manage post-integration support to scalably interact with our partners, and support new product requests that increase the impact of these ecosystem partners.

This role is fundamental to expanding our Distributed Energy Resource (DER) ecosystem by enabling our technology partners to integrate with our APIs and contribute to the broader portfolio of resources for our utility clients. We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can navigate working through ambiguity, and is motivated by building and enforcing processes that will scale as we grow. To be impactful in this role, you have a strong technical skill set, are highly organized, and are comfortable interacting externally and cross-functionally. Your contributions will be internal and external project leadership, and cross-functional process improvement focused on enabling sustainable growth.

Main Responsibilities: What you'll do

  • Own implementation project management for integrations and program launches for our DER device partners, enabling more distributed energy resources to participate in our utility programs
  • Work with device partner stakeholders to communicate implementation requirements, related technical documentation, identify risks, manage and monitor project schedules in sustainable ways
  • Create, manage, and deliver implementation content for partners to utilize from kickoff and throughout the integration process
  • Establish and manage partner support systems to scalably manage how any issues are prioritized, routed, and communicated to and from partners
  • Coordinate with the product, partner, customer success, and development teams to represent and help shepherd new product capabilities through internal evaluation and new product development processes
  • Qualify and support these requests with business cases and engage product and solutions engineering teams to evaluate and prioritize related work
  • Gather the document the progress of partners to ensure they move through our process, either escalating where appropriate, influencing the partner to accelerate its integration, or ensuring the teams scale up/down their engagement based on partner priority and demonstrated motivation
  • Facilitate a system for how technical specs are maintained and delivered to partners, in collaboration with product and engineering teams

Required Skills and Experience: What you need

  • Project management, internal/external communication, and project monitoring
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to lead external parties through documentation and processes, gather feedback, obtain status, and track implementation of large projects
  • A demonstrated ability to collaborate in a socially effective manner among cross-functional stakeholders, while operating within existing resources
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex issues/needs in a clear, precise, and actionable manner to influence and advocate change
  • Experience identifying and building systems over manual processes, using tools/applications to scale interactions and impact (e.g. support, documentation)
  • A demonstrated technical background with the ability to be hands-on as needed

Preferred Skills and Experience: Nice-to-haves

  • A working knowledge of the Utilities industry and supporting business processes
  • A demonstrated ability to communicate technical concepts to external stakeholders
