Are you ready to shape the future of offshore wind energy in South Korea? PEAK Wind is looking for a Deputy Technical Director to join a client project team, overseeing and optimizing the performance of a large-scale offshore wind farm during operations. You will play a vital role in supporting our client’s success, ensuring best-in-class operational outcomes while driving commercial and technical improvements.

Role description
Based in Seoul (South Korea), you will be part of the corporate organization supporting a client project during its operational phase. As Deputy Technical Director, your main responsibility will be to manage and oversee the Operator’s performance, while supporting both commercial and technical aspects of wind farm operations.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Working alongside the Operator to ensure delivery on WTG OEM contractual obligations, including logistics and resourcing.
- Advising on complex technical issues arising during operations and providing expert guidance to the Operator.
- Overseeing the management of any project agreement by the Operator, and acting as the escalation point (e.g., performance issues, warranties, and claims).
- Driving continuous improvement of project performance, including review and validation of variable service requests from the Operator.
- Recommending project-specific improvements and solutions, leveraging industry best practices and operational insights.
Deputy Technical Director with a Proactive Attitude
We are seeking a Deputy Technical Director with a technical university degree and a flair for commercial topics. Alternatively, you have a commercial background paired with an interest in technical matters. You have at least 5 years of post-education experience and have demonstrated your project management competencies. Ideally, you have gained experience in offshore wind operations & maintenance. A background from management consulting, large-scale energy infrastructure projects, and/or roles where you have gained broad experience and a wide skill set from the renewable energy sector would also be relevant. Ideally, you should be fluent in both Korean and English language proficiency, and have worked previously in both a Korean and an international business environment.
The perfect candidate has a proactive attitude, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and can manage multiple workstreams simultaneously, but more importantly, wants to be part of a motivated team of consultants from different disciplines and parts of the world that work together to ensure high-quality deliverables for international clients. We expect you to be a good communicator and to be able to work autonomously and in a team.
