Lifecycle Engineering (LCE) is a department responsible to provide Engineering solutions to Service and Construction at MED level. The team is currently spread around the Mediterranean area (including some MENA Countries), East Europe and Africa (South Africa, Kenia, Egypt, Morocco and Senegal).

Responsibilities

  • Access CIR for main components and prepare technical reports including root cause analysis for failed main components in order to improve turbine performance
  • Act as a liaison between Service Vestas and R&D department Vestas's wind system A/S to improve turbine performance
  • Act as a liaison between field personnel, vendors, customers, and Continuous Improvement Management\R&D
  • Act as liaison between Vestas Service and Customers for questions and claims related to mechanical components and attend customer meetings with technical content
  • Create and deliver technical presentations to internal and external customers
  • Ability to provide support to the legal department on technical issues related to mechanical components
  • Support sales process for mechanical components
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications

Qualifications

  • Experience for junior engineer with +2 years of experience in electrical system evaluation for a wind turbine or as a maintenance technician with solid experience and willingness to learn
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering (it is an advantage)
  • English language written and spoken with business proficiency

Competencies

  • Proficient technical skills with emphasis on problem solving and root cause failure analysis
  • Able to handle multiple tasks and prioritize daily work in an evolving work environment
  • Good communication and presentation skills
