We’re looking for a dynamic and motivated Business Development Manager to join our forward-thinking team, contributing to the transition to a greener future while accelerating your career in the renewable energy sector.
In this role, you’ll take ownership of driving new business sales of our renewable products to commercial clients across the West and Southwest. You’ll play a vital role in developing and executing a robust sales strategy, managing a sales pipeline, and securing long-term client relationships. You’ll be an integral part of our success, directly influencing revenue growth and contributing to our vision of a sustainable future.

- Develop and implement a clear sales strategy for selling our solar PV systems to new commercial clients across the West and Southwest.
- Lead the sales process from initial contact to closing, hitting sales targets, and revenue goals.
- Build and manage a strong pipeline of opportunities, providing regular updates and forecasts to management.
- Negotiate and secure contracts, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.
- Qualify opportunities early by gathering in-depth information and data from clients and conducting thorough analysis.
- Share market insights and customer feedback with the team to help enhance our product offerings.
- Maintain existing client relationships while identifying and converting new accounts.
What you'll need to succeed
We’re looking for an experienced commercial solar sales professional who excels at generating your own leads, driving negotiations, and building strong, trusting relationships with customers. You’ll thrive in a proactive, self-starting role and will have a proven passion for delivering outstanding results.
With your excellent communication skills, you’ll make complex solar solutions easy to understand for clients while keeping senior stakeholders updated with insightful and actionable reports. Essentials
- A proven sales professional with experience in the commercial solar market.
- Experience in one or more of the following sectors is highly desirable: Healthcare, Manufacturing, Warehousing, Retail, Education.
- A strong track record of overachievement and growing market share in a B2B sales environment.
- Solid understanding of solar PV technology and the ability to explain its benefits in simple terms.
- A natural negotiator with a knack for closing deals and turning opportunities into long-term partnerships.
- A self-starter with a hands-on approach and the drive to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written – with a focus on customer service.
- Energetic, motivated, and hungry for success.
- Full UK driving license.
