The Position
Arevon is recruiting for the position of Associate Accountant, an outstanding opportunity for individuals seeking an exciting, high-growth work environment in one of the most important industries of the 21st century. Key Responsibilities
The Associate Accountant will perform a wide range of accounting duties. Those responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Actively participate in the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process and ensure tasks are completed timely and accurately.
- Complete Blackline reconciliations and reporting packages timely and accurately.
- Prepare journal entries and review coding in support of monthly closings.
- Assist external auditors and tax compliance professionals.
- Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and/or semi-annual debt service and distribution packages.
- Coordinate with related internal and external parties to prepare monthly draw packages.
- Ensure compliance with controls, corporate policies, and statutory requirements.
- Review and approve vendor payments.
- Reconcile intercompany relationships and balances, including research and resolving discrepancies.
- Identify and communicate potential issues and/or opportunities on processes to Accounting Managers.
- Work with counterparts to ensure consistency among processes and support operations.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by Accounting Manager.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in accounting or finance required.
- A minimum of 0-3 years’ experience working within an accounting department and/or in public accounting.
- Working knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and accounting procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Administrative, organizational and communication skills required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, highly motivated self-starter, and team player attitude.
- Ability to follow through on assigned tasks from start to finish, including ability to research, analyze and solve problems.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA license or eligible to sit for CPA exam is preferred.
- Prior experience with Utility Scale Renewable Energy (preferred, not required.)
- Experience/exposure to NetSuite ERP system (preferred, not required.)
