Job Description

Manage the reliability team including reliability data analysis, continuous improvement and new product efforts based out of Mumbai, India. Support creation of System level DFMEAs and mitigation plans to address high risk items. Development of Reliability Block Diagrams (RBDs) and resulting reliability models to roll up system reliability projections and to allocate reliability goals from systems level to components. Work with product development teams to develop system and component test plans to validate performance, quality & reliability. Lead systems and component reliability analysis to monitor continuous improvement efforts and to identify top priorities for reliability improvement efforts. Lead the reliability activities to support cross-functional teams as needed Conduct investigations to identify root cause of problems and implement effective corrective actions. Use a Lean data-driven approach and methodologies to problem identification and resolution. Lead on-going product reliability improvements. Identify and evaluate fundamental issues with product quality/reliability, providing strategy and direction for improvement in functional areas of manufacturing. Evaluate product quality and reliability using techniques such as FMEA, HALT, DFQ, and DMAIC. Experience in reliability methods, statistical process control, and quality measurement methodologies. Work with engineering and manufacturing to develop control plans and parameters to ensure high product reliability. Successfully manage multiple competing projects and meet deliverable deadlines amid changing requirements. Support qualification of new technologies to meet the manufacturing ramp.

Skills and Experience

  • Masters degree in Engineering discipline, preferably Reliability Engineering with a minimum of 6+ years of relevant experience.
  • Proven track record in leading product reliability efforts for complex systems development.
  • Experience developing accelerated life and HALT test plans to evaluate the robustness of electrical and mechanical components.
  • Understanding of PFMEA and DFMEA. Experience in the application of reliability methods including DFMEA, Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), Reliability Block Diagrams (RBD), System Reliability Modelling, Markov Modelling, Monte Carlo Analysis, Weibull and other reliability Distribution Modeling.
  • Ability to take a complicated technical concept and translate it for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Working knowledge of product lifecycle.
  • Experience with Continuous Improvement and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Familiar with SPC techniques for monitoring quality performance.
  • Strong working knowledge of quality and reliability concepts.
