Job Description

Join our dynamic Controlling & Improvement Team at Semco Maritime as a Student Assistant. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive individual to support project invoicing, controlling, and more in the Transitional Energies division. Your position

In your position as a Student Assistant in the Transitional Energies division, you will be a valuable member of the dedicated Controlling & Improvements Team whose mission is to optimize workflows and support project management efficiency. You will have the chance to enhance your skills in a dynamic and flexible environment. Above all, your work will make a real change for the global energy sector.

Your place of work will be at our Global HQ located in Esbjerg, the hub of the Danish energy industry, right on the waterfront – views do not get any better than this. The position is part-time, and we expect you to work approximately 15-20 hours per week within the frame of 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Your tasks & responsibilities

Your main responsibility is to support invoicing and project controlling. You will have broad contact throughout the organization.

As a student assistant with us, your tasks will include but are not limited to:

  • Invoicing projects in both Denmark and Norway
  • Controlling projects
  • Following up on travel expense receipts
  • Following up on hours and standard cost rates
  • Approving supplier invoices
  • Various ad hoc tasks
  • Supporting and adhering to health, safety, and environmental standards, in all activities

You will report to our Senior Manager, who is responsible for the different elements.

Your profile & qualifications

We prefer that you have strong analytical skills and are good with numbers. You are structured, persistent, independent, and service-oriented.

To succeed in this position, we imagine that you:

  • Have completed a high school education (STX, HHX, or HTX)
  • Are pursuing a relevant higher education (bachelor's or master's level)
  • Are fluent in Danish and English, both written and spoken
  • Use MS Office and Excel at a very high level
  • Knowledge of safety standards relevant to controlling
